Heart Hug  WOAH I'm flattered about the DD! Thanks so much!!!  Hug Heart

=======================================

Hi there!
This is my version of realistic looking replica of the famous Majora's Mask, known from the same named Zelda title released for the N64, back in 2000.
Please feel free to check out the worklog on my Facebook-page.

The mask should be an (nearly exact) copy of an existing 3D modell, done by 3D-Artist Cordell Felix.

If there are any questions please feel free to contact me via DA and/or Facebook

Cheers,
Mario

Majora's Mask - Wooden Replica by ~supermaRiio is an exquisitely detailed replica. It's very realistic, yet it stays faithful to the original. ( Suggested by Purrdemonium and Featured by cakecrumbs )

I was just curious with what size wood you started from with this? It's incredible, so beautifully done.

Hey there :) Thanks first of all!
I've started with a log approximately 100cm x 50cm x 20cm (thickness) in size. Had that laying around.

I haven't exactly amassed a collection of pictures and done a side-by-side comparison, but this replica seems to best match the shape and proportions seen in-game, yet its finish and detail make it far more than just a real-world clone. In my opinion, this is the mask in its perfect form. I am in awe.

I worked around three months on it. Was quite a task to get the shape perfectly symmetrical on the whole thing :)
Cool you like!!

How much is it worth in Material?
and if you ever sell this I'd pay "ALOT" of money ;A;
(I have a lot of money I've been trying to throw at a replica but can't seem to find much like this quality)

Oh come on how can you make something as awesome as this and NOT sell them? You could double the money you put in materials. I want one too! *furiously pouts*

Haha so sorry! From the beginning it was intended to be unique in it's style.
Lately copies of this mask are popping out everywhere on the internet, a few of the people even sell them. Maybe you can get yours from there :/

Yeah I was shopping around actually and that's how I came across yours. This one happens to be (in my opinion - no offence to other artist), the best on the internet. Its got a perfect paint job and texturing. Sure there are others with the same shape out there, but they all look so plastic and cartoony. Where as this one looks like it would if the game were actually real, instead of a cartoon cut-out from the game. If that makes sense.

Yeah I know what you mean... but nothing goes over a nice pice of wood :P :)
You could also get one of those shiny looking and remake them to fit the style you want to have.
It's sure a fun thing to do as painting is quite a relaxing task (at least for me) :)

WOAH THIS IS AMAZING!! I'm planning to make a mask myself, But I'm stuck on what kind of wood I should use. I was thinking of putting several pieces together, but I'd love it if you could give a rookie like me some advice because this is just beyond words amazing!!!

I'm speechless how awesome this looks. I really love the aging tone with the chipping wood, and the colors are just smashing with art!. adds a realistic look to it ;)

It's definitely easier to not craft this thing entirely from one thing.
I also machined all the horns seperately and stuck them together :)
